Well, here we are again. I'm once again planning on making a very ambitious animation as a final project. It will be another Amazing Cartoon affair.

Luckily, no more of this cel and film nonsense. That was a great exercises, but, yeah, I'm not a masochist. No, this time it will be drawn out by hand and inked and painted in Toon Boom Studio, a vector-based animation program. Individual frames will take minutes to complete as opposed to over an hour. No drying time, no mixing paint, no dust.

So does that it mean it'll be easy? Fuck no. This animation will about 10-12 minutes long and contain dialog. Which means lip sync and dealing with actors. Now, I once again extend this offer that if you want to be a part of this and lend your voice or any other talents you think might be useful, that would be an enormous help. Hit me up on AIM at LCARSXJ or email. I need voices for:

Lars (the one in my icon. Need some amount of disdain and anger.)
Penny (sassy girl with a voice bordering on madness)
Sabin (a geeky voice. I dunno.)
Slater (loser next door neighbor)
Engineer at laboratory (anything goes.)
Random FBI agents (official-sounding, but silly)

I could also use some musical talent. Orchestral/industrial I think.

More information will be posted as it starts to exist. At this moment I just have the script written.

I'd be interested in Penny or an FBI agent if you have any females.

I should have mentioned that a good condenser mic and a quiet, reverb-free room are also required. Do you have these?

I am actually in the market (and have been for awhile) for a good mic, preferably attached to a headset. Could you suggest some for me that'd be useful for your purposes?
also, the quiet, reverb-free room would be this one--carpeted, ceiling flocking, and full of furniture. immediate environment adjustments can be made to suit if there are audio artifacts but i consider them to be unlikely.

Nothing attached to a headset, those are pretty rotten.

For something under $30, the Logitech USB desktop mic is adequate, otherwise you're getting a Blue USB microphone for around $100.

I'm going to try and find actors locally first, so don't go dropping money on microphones on my account just yet.

I could totally do Lars, and possibly Slater. I have quite the range of disgust.

Penny, Engineer, musical talent. I can sort of play the violin and know someone who can play the keyboard.

[info]tejanabena may be a good choice for a female voice. She has some experience. Tell her Aurora sent you. ;)
